Clesana C1 with Round Base

Designed for flexible floor-mounted installations, new conversions and compact washroom layouts

The future of campervan toilets has arrived.

Forget waste cassettes. Forget flushing chemicals. Forget planning your journey around disposal points.

Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, the Clesana C1 uses patented thermo-pressure sealing technology to hygienically seal toilet waste inside high-barrier film bags—without flushing water, sanitary chemicals or a conventional waste-holding tank.

Clean. Simple. Modern.

Flexible round-base installation

The round-base version is designed for installations where the toilet does not need to sit directly against a washroom wall. Its compact, self-contained base allows greater freedom when positioning the C1, making it particularly suitable for new campervan conversions, custom washroom layouts and selected cassette-toilet replacements.

The toilet can rotate by up to 90 degrees in either direction, allowing it to be positioned for use and turned when additional washroom space is required.

Unlike the L-Adapter, the round base is not designed to conceal openings left by a previously installed cassette toilet. Any redundant wall or floor openings will therefore require separate finishing.

Compatibility depends on the available space, floor construction, electrical supply and required operating clearances. An installation assessment is recommended before ordering.

No waste tank. No blue chemicals. No unpleasant cassette emptying.

After use, simply press the appropriate button. The C1 automatically draws down the liner and uses heat and pressure to seal the contents inside a secure high-barrier bag. A fresh section of liner is then presented, ready for the next use.

The sealed bags collect in the lower compartment and can be removed without direct contact with their contents. They may be disposed of with residual household waste where local regulations permit.

Designed for modern off-grid travel

Because the Clesana C1 requires no flushing water, waste tank or drainage connection, it reduces your dependence on campsite service facilities.

Whether you are touring Europe, camping away from conventional facilities or creating a self-sufficient campervan, the C1 provides a cleaner and more convenient approach to mobile sanitation.

There is no flush tank to refill, no chemical waste cassette to empty and no black-water system to maintain.

Hygienic by design

Clesana’s sealing system has its origins in medical sanitation technology. Its specially developed multi-layer high-barrier liner is designed to resist the transmission of odours and moisture while securely containing waste.

At normal room temperature, Clesana states that correctly sealed bags remain odour-proof for at least two weeks. At higher temperatures, the manufacturer recommends disposing of them within two days.

No direct contact with waste. No chemical additives. Only simple routine surface cleaning.

Built for campervans and motorhomes

The Clesana C1 operates from a correctly specified 12 V leisure-battery system. Its energy consumption per cycle is low, making it suitable for many off-grid electrical systems, including properly designed lithium-battery and solar-charging installations.

The toilet can draw up to 22 A during operation, so the power supply, cabling and circuit protection must meet Clesana’s installation requirements.

Important installation information

The round base is secured directly to the floor and requires a suitable supporting structure. The available space, floor construction, electrical supply and clearances required for opening and rotating the toilet must be checked before installation.

When replacing an existing cassette toilet, any redundant water connections must be safely isolated. External service hatches, wall openings, floor openings and other areas previously concealed by the old toilet may require separate finishing.

The round base does not provide the rear wall coverage offered by the Clesana L-Adapter.

Professional installation is recommended.
