Clesana C1 installation: what a professional fit involves

A professional Clesana C1 installation starts before the vehicle reaches the workshop. The aim is not simply to make the toilet fit: it is to create a safe, tidy and serviceable installation that suits the vehicle and the way you travel.

1. Vehicle and fitment assessment

We first identify the vehicle, model year, existing toilet and washroom layout. Clear photographs help us assess the floor area, wall clearances, door swing, shower screens, cassette-access opening and any visible services.

Some conversions are straightforward; others need trim work, an infill panel or a plan for the former cassette door. An initial assessment lets us explain the likely scope before a booking is made.

2. Electrical planning

The C1 requires a suitable 12 V electrical supply installed to the manufacturer's current requirements. A competent installer must assess cable routing, protection, connections and the vehicle's existing electrical system. The exact route is vehicle-specific, so photographs and assumptions are not a substitute for inspection.

3. Careful removal and preparation

The existing toilet is isolated and removed carefully. Once it is out, the surrounding structure and hidden area can be inspected. The installer checks that the mounting surface is sound and deals with redundant water connections, previous fixings and the external cassette aperture as agreed in the quotation.

4. Secure, serviceable fitment

The C1 is positioned with the clearances required for comfortable use, opening the lid, changing liners, cleaning and future inspection. It is then mounted and connected in accordance with the current Clesana instructions and the agreed vehicle-specific plan.

5. Commissioning and handover

Before handover, the installation and normal functions are checked. We then show you how to operate the toilet, replace the liner, use absorbers where appropriate and follow the manufacturer's care guidance. You should leave knowing what normal operation looks like and how to contact us if you need support.

What we need from you

  • Vehicle make, model and year
  • Your current toilet make and model, if known
  • Photos of the whole washroom and toilet from several angles
  • Photos of the cassette-access area and nearby cupboards or service spaces
  • Any known previous alterations, leaks or electrical work
  • Your preferred timing and location

Why use an approved specialist?

Clesana's own information places trained sales and service partners at the centre of correct installation and ongoing support. A specialist understands the product as well as the vehicle work around it, helping protect safe operation, service access and a clear after-sales route.

This guide is an overview, not a substitute for the official instructions or competent professional work. Always use the latest Clesana C1 installation manual. Do not work on live electrical systems or alter a vehicle where hidden services or structural details have not been established.
